| A lot has happened since we last
wrote you. God is continuing to bless and pour out His grace especially in
terms of people coming to the understanding of salvation. New people are
showing up every Sunday and many are returning because of the blessing and
encouragement they received. This past month we added three new home churches
which brings the total to eight in all. We added one just for the youth so we
could deal with issues relating to the special conflicts they face. We are
believing God to establish several more this year. Three people who are interested in working with us visited us from a church in Arkansas. One is a nurse who is thinking of coming down to help in the foundation. His wife is also a nurse and she plans to come down again next month for another ten days. Both have experience in Christian schools. Their knowledge and experience would be a blessing for our church because we were thinking of starting a school this October. Our church building is definitely too small for us. We have begun looking for land to build a sanctuary large enough for 600 with sufficient space for Sunday School and parking. Land is very expensive within the city limits, but we believe in miracles. Pray with us. God is bringing in the harvest and we need a facility to minister to those who are coming. The foundation is also growing as it serves to meet the medical needs of low income families in Cuenca and the surrounding areas. The city has donated the funds for an addition to the existing building. This project will give us two more doctor offices and a large area for therapy. Enrique, a seventy-five-year-old relative of one of our leaders, suffered a stroke that put him in a coma. The family asked for prayer because the doctors gave Enrique no chance of recovery. As a church we prayed and then I went with the relative and laid hands on him in the hospital. The next day he came out of the coma. Praise God! There is power in the Name of Jesus!
