| "My God!" was all that I
could manage to say just before our car was rendered worthless by an
absent-minded driver. Instead of waiting for me to pass, the other driver
crossed my path as I was just seconds away. The impact caused my steering wheel
and stick shift to mold together. The entire front end crumpled like paper and
the two front wheels now face backwards. But the Lord was watching over my
life. The only injury was a cut on my right elbow. Although this accident is a
straight forward case, I have been advised, by my insurance company no less, to
hire an outside lawyer to pursue the matter. Corruption is so rampant here that
a simple matter quickly becomes complicated when a bribe is made available.
However, God is still in control. Yesterday we received good news that a 1990
Toyota Corolla is on its way from Japan. Pray for the red tape to be removed
and for the additional $2,000 needed for this purchase. From Joseph and Pauline Kitur Just a brief note: Pray that God will supply the funds for the construction of our Life Care Center Building that we desperately need to better do the work that God has sent us to do. We will begin construction as soon as we have the funds on hand. We are praying, too, that the Lord will provide another vehicle for the ministry. Our 1986 model keeps breaking down. The rough roads in Kenya really tear up a vehicle. You may have heard about some of the problems taking place in our country. There is a major concern about the clashes between the tribes. Houses are being burned and people killed in the Reft Valley. This is a political problem and we would appreciate your prayers. We do not want another Brundi or Ruanda happening here in Kenya. Your prayers mean so much to us! From Joseph and Hannah Muhota |
