World Missions Far Corners, Inc. was founded in 1958 by the late Dr. J. Leonard Bell.  The work initially began in Old Mexico where WMFC created audio visual aides, unique evangelism tools, for sharing the Gospel. These resources were then used by God in 45 countries! Next, WMFC pioneered a "crop dusting technique" and dropped the Gospel of John to people without Christ from low-flying airplanes.  Our Native Evangelism ministries began in March 1964.

WMFC is a faith fellowship of New Testament evangelists brought together by the Holy Spirit to present the claims of Jesus Christ, care for the suffering, and establish churches according to the indigenous principles of the New Testament (Acts 1:8)."Far Corners" is the name of the powerful outreach ministries of World Missions Far Corners which are legally organized and recognized in third-world countries and are indigenous to each country.

Four people have given significant leadership to World Missions Far Corners:

Patricia Murdock-Cook (2005 to 2008)
Gary L. Bishop (2008 to the present)

World Missions Far Corners also provides an organizational home base for missionaries. This includes the handling of their finances, receipting donor gifts, distribution of their newsletters, guiding the strategic planning, and providing operational accountability.  Our missionaries serve in many countries and are part of the evangelism effort on five continents. WMFC is nationalizing the work as quickly as possible. We also believe it is important to minister to the whole person: body, soul and spirit.

Many unique facets of evangelism are used to reach special groups of people loved by Christ, including: Chaplains ministering in U.S. penal institutions, Church planting, Day Care Centers, Film Ministries, Leper Hospital and Clinics, Literature Programs, National Training Centers, Native Evangelism, Newspaper Evangelism, New Life Centers (the rehabilitation of former prostitutes and their children), Rice Kitchen Ministries, River Launch Ministries, and schools for the children of Scavengers and Slum Dwellers. In the U.S. and in Canada, a daily radio broadcast is also heard on selected stations.
 
Now 50 years since our founding, WMFC has ministries on five continents with more than 400 people directly involved in bringing God's Word to the nations. Today the ministry of World Missions Far Corners is ministering in North America, South America, the Islands of the sea, in Europe and in Asia.
